I had a conversation yesterday with a former student who humbly approaches his work with students. He shared the ways in which he has grown as a teacher over the past few years, and how his attitude has grown to include a deep thoughtfulness about his work. It is beautiful to see the ways in which he seeks to serve his students, and although they have no clue, I truly do.
The whole experience reminds me of the importance of spending time thinking about our craft and the students we serve. I hope you'll take some time for that today.
